Also known as the “cherry festival of the world,” the Traverse City Cherry Festival is one of the wildest, tastiest, and best parties ever!! It is believed that Asians and Europeans loved cherries a couple hundred years back in time. Plus, cherries came from China around 4,000 B.C. Now that’s pretty cool! The name “cherry” was named after Cerasus, a town in Turkey. No wonder the name’s from Turkey, it’s food! But there’s more – Traverse City alone grows forty percent of America’s cherry crops! That’s a lot of cherries! There is so much more, but I can’t tell it all. There is just so much!

Now that you know about the history of the Cherry Festival, I will give you additional information. The Festival is located in Traverse City, Michigan. There is no cost to go there, but there is a cost for food and games. There are no specific hours, but it runs from July 7 to July 14. There are games, events, carnival rides and it has great food. That is some information about the Traverse City Cherry Festival.
